The Forest Lawn Project
The Forest Lawn Project is a Calgary2012 Artist in Residence project directed by Mat Mailandt. More than 40 high schools students from Forest Lawn, most of them recent immigrants, are coming together to perform their stories and the history of Forest Lawn community. Performances will happen Wednesday, November 21 and Thursday, November 22 at 7:15 p.m. in the theatre at Forest Lawn High School. The cost will be $2 and the performance is open to the public. Before the performance both days, the Peer Ambassadors of FLHS will present A Taste of Culture. It will run from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Rotunda, right inside the main doors of the school. It will be free both nights. It will feature traditional dress, displays of immigration stories and delicious food. This is also open to the public.
